We are writing to you to give you an update on MutualiLearn in West Midlands Police.
We’ve been really impressed by the activity so far – over 200 of you have already logged in and are now either near or at completion of the introductory module MG101. We hope that it has given you a good introduction of the platform and what we as an organisation are all about.
What we hadn’t expected was that the most common request through our helpdesk would be for early access to the next module – many of you can’t wait to move on and keep learning.
Well, exciting news is that the next module will be released on Wednesday 27th September. Thank you for your patience whilst we support all learners to access MutualiLearn.
Update from West Midlands Police – Superintendent Kim Madill
As a PCSO, Constituency Inspector, communications and engagement officer or Neighbourhood Sergeant – if you get a request to log on to your account with Mutualilearn – then please follow the link and log on.
This training is not discretionary and has been arranged as part of the Neighbourhood Policing redesign programme to assist NPUs in delivering against the ambition in relation to activating citizens in communities of the West Midlands.
It is for ALL PCSOs and some constituency leads to take part in. This investment will enhance your community engagement skills and is designed to build on your skills as a Neighbourhood Policing Professional.
The expectation is that all PCSOs and identified officers will undergo the training and be provided adequate time in work to complete the activities on the portal (approx. 3.5 hours per week) followed by some live training sessions.

Information Webinars
We’ve had a number of questions from you all about MutualiLearn, this training programme and us as an organisation. To help answer some of these questions, we are going to be running a number of information webinars throughout September/October to talk you through the programme and give you the opportunity to speak to our Group Leaders and Support Team.
The current dates are:
- Wednesday 27th September 1000-1100
- Thursday 5th October 1400-1500
- Friday 6th October 1100-1200
- Wednesday 11th October 0900 – 1000
- Tuesday 17th October 1000 – 1100
The webinars will be run over our online conferencing system Zoom. Recordings of the webinars will be made available for any of you not able to access during the time slot.
